The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Directed and starring Ben Stiller, opposite Mr. Stiller and Kristen Wiig

This is a movie about being brave. It was magical to go to work everyday. It was magical, and I would walk around the set, this beautiful retro re-imagining of the Life Magazine offices in New York, and watch the other actors work, and work with them, and observe Ben Stiller carefully sculpting these hilarious and heartbreaking moments from Steve Conrad's near perfect script and almost pass out from the specialness of the whole thing. I have so many full feelings. I am still pinching myself.

Guest Starring on MTV's Underemployed - Episode 108

Underemployed is a new one-hour scripted series on MTV that I had the good fortune to work on while I was in Chicago this spring.  I spoke Bekah Brunstetter's words.  Agh! Stop it! The fruition of frequent longings! I used to retreat to a cool corner of the Drama Book Shop, particularly during the summer I first moved to New York, with her bittersweet plays and an iced coffee and really believe that everything was going to be okay.

Blown East Again

Life and Limb, by Keith Reddin, has run its course at Steppenwolf's Garage theatre.  I don't quite know how to describe what happened in Chicago, other than to say that it was whole. A bunch of incredible actors and a profoundly imaginative director, Emily Campbell, taught me a lot about what is possible. I walked around most days, in rehearsals and performance, thinking to myself, "This experience is rare. This is very very rare."
